Madeleine (Maddy) Elser

Law Clerk

Maddy grew up in Chicago, Illinois where she completed grade school and high school, before attending college at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Maddy received a Bachelor of Arts double major degree in History and Political Science. Thereafter, she moved to Miami, FL to attend law school at The University of Miami (UM).

Currently a second-year law student at UM Law School, Maddy has been involved in several organizations within her school community, including roles as Secretary of The University of Miami Dade County Bar Student Chapter and Alumni Advisor Editor of the Inter-American Law Review. She is also an active student member of the Spellman-Hoeveler Chapter of the American Inns of Court. During the Summer of 2018, Maddy spent time employed as a judicial intern to the Honorable Maria M. Korvick in the Miami Probate Court.

Maddy has been working closely with attorney Samah Abukhodeir as a law clerk since January of 2019. With experience in areas of Estates, Trusts, Guardianships, Estate Planning and Elder Law, she has a substantial and well-rounded understanding in the practice of Probate Law. She hopes to pursue her future career as an attorney in this specialty and help families with their legal affairs.
