Marivette González Rivera was born in Puerto Rico and moved to New Jersey at age 10. She graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice. After relocating to Florida, she earned her law degree from Florida A&M University, College of Law. She received the prestigious Holly Marie Stutz scholarship for academic excellence and commitment to public interest law. Marivette began her legal career as a Public Defender in the Ninth Circuit in Orange County, Florida, where she represented hundreds of clients in criminal cases.
In 2011, she founded a successful family law firm in Orlando, FL. In 2024, she moved to South Florida to be closer to family and joined The Florida Probate & Family Law Firm as the Attorney-Client Engagement Specialist. With extensive experience in simple and complex family law matters, including divorce, paternity, interstate custody, relocation, and business distributions, Marivette has a proven track record of helping families reach amicable resolutions through agreements. In her spare time Marivette enjoys spending time with her family, educating the community in family matters, and spending time outdoors whether at the beach or in the mountains.
