Samah Abukhodeir, Esq. Receives FIU Honors College Senior Faculty Award 2026
MIAMI, FL — SEPTEMBER 14, 2026 — Florida International University’s Honors College has recognized Samah Abukhodeir, Esq. as the recipient of the 2026 Senior Faculty Award, honoring her longstanding commitment to teaching, mentorship, and the academic development of Honors College students.
Abukhodeir is being recognized for her dedication to the Honors College since 2018 and for her continued contributions to the educational experience of its students. The award celebrates faculty members whose commitment to excellence and student success has made a meaningful impact on the Honors College community.
The award was presented during the Honors College Faculty Workshop and Reception on Wednesday, August 19, at FIU’s SIPA II.
“I am deeply honored to receive the Honors College Senior Faculty Award,” said Samah Abukhodeir. “It is a privilege to teach and mentor such talented and driven students, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their academic journey.” Abukhodeir, is also the Founder and Managing Partner of The Florida Probate & Family Law Firm, located in Miami, Florida.
The Honors College is home to more than 3,000 high-achieving students, representing the peak of FIU’s undergraduate academic excellence. Through rigorous academics, faculty engagement, and opportunities for leadership and intellectual growth, the college prepares its students to make meaningful contributions in their communities and beyond.
